He Died Two Days Ago

A mobster kingpin sends his assassins to kill Tony Cowen for stealing the mobster’s gun moll girlfriend, Sylvia. The assassins’ shots mistakenly hit his twin brother, Nick. But Nick is kept alive by an alien on the orders of its management. A race of aliens, the Ephemerals, inhabit living beings of other planets across the universe. Yet, as they inhabit others, they never leave their home planet Ephemeron. Those inhabited are not aware that the Ephemeral dwelling inside is feeding off its host’s emotions. This cosmic inhabitation secretly powers the world of Ephemeron. The three earthlings, pursuing their earthly revenge, are pulled into a fight to free themselves from an alien possession, and maybe the rest of humanity.

He Died Two Days Ago is not just a thrilling tale of revenge and survival; it embodies the spirit of camaraderie, adventure, and unforgettable experiences....This captivating book promises to transport the reader to a world where every page in turn ignites your imagination and keeps your heart racing.” – Midwest Book Reviews

He Died Two Days Ago by John Posner is a creative science fiction/fantasy story that brings two worlds together. The storyline of the book is different and interesting, and the book is filled with plenty of action and suspense, keeping readers enthralled from beginning to end.

...The characters in the story are all fun to get to know … well-written and quite fascinating…. The dialogue, especially that which takes place between the
brothers and those who live in their heads, is very well done and, at times, just really funny.

I would highly recommend He Died Two Days Ago to all science fiction fans out there. In my opinion, the plot of the book is appealing and unlike most of what is out there. That makes it much more fun to read. The characters are unique and, at times, very thought-provoking and I especially enjoyed that part. It is definitely a different kind of story and one that is well worth reading.

“Forever is Too Long presents a vivid, thought-provoking exploration of a future where humanity has transcended death through digital immortality....From the get-go, Posner's writing pulls the reader into a world where death is optional, and humanity grapples with the consequences of eternal life. The narrative is richly detailed, painting a believable picture of a future where technology permeates every aspect of existence. The prologue sets the stage brilliantly, introducing the concept of Mindars and the governing body ASHORE, which manages the transition from flesh to digital life. The idea of living in a multiverse supported by advanced AI is both fascinating and chilling, posing questions about identity, consciousness, and the nature of reality…. 5 Stars” – Literary Titan Review
